Sunset Over Arran, Scotland is an original oil painting I created in response to one of those unforgettable coastal evenings when the sky seems to set the whole horizon alight. Inspired by the Isle of Arran’s rugged silhouette and the golden-pink glow that settles over the water, I layered rich, atmospheric colours to capture the warmth, stillness, and quiet magic of the moment.

As I painted, I wanted to reflect not just the beauty of the landscape, but the feeling of watching day fade into night—when the air cools, the sea calms, and the sky becomes a shifting tapestry of light and colour. This piece found its way to a new home, and I’m grateful to know it’s being enjoyed by someone who shares a love for Scotland’s stunning coastline.
